R. E. Cupp Construction was founded in April of 1985 by Randy Cupp,
a third generation equipment operator who had worked for his father's
and grandfather's companies since childhood. It was started with a
promise to pay two months equipment rental on three tractors at the
end of the first month of business. With two operators, including
the owner, the company started its first job, a 20,000 sf. Strip retail
center in Denton Texas. The concrete contractor was so impressed by
the finish grading of the site that he gave us several contacts that
led to more projects.
After one year we had grown to 10 pieces of equipment, 6 employees,
and several satisfied repeat customers. In 1987 the economy took a
down turn. We found that with the fierce competition in the area and
fewer jobs to bid, we needed an edge. We entered the computer age
and started doing digitized take offs. This enabled us to bid more
projects with better quantities than the majority of our competitors.
Over the next few years we added our own survey crews as well as soil
stabilization equipment to provide a more complete site work package.
Our mission is to build sites ahead of schedule
while maintaining superior quality at a competitive price.
R.E. Cupp Construction has been built with people who take pride in
their work and a customer base that appreciates it. We continue to
work for many of the same customers we worked for in our first year
of business. R.E. Cupp Construction believes in teamwork and demonstrates
that by coordinating with other subcontractors on projects in order
to help keep the job sites ahead of schedule.
Today we have over 100 pieces of equipment in our fleet. We perform
excavation work on sites ranging from fast food restaurants to some
of the largest distribution centers being built in the Dallas/Fort
Worth area. Our services have grown to include demolition, excavation,
soil stabilization, land clearing, tree grinding, and preliminary
site design.
